The Hide
The NOW Gallery April 2023
On 13th April 2023, when birdwathing logbook by artist Jennifer Moore, ‘Birds of Greenwich Peninsula’ was launched, NOW Gallery hosted Lou Doyle, a performance artist, who inhabited a ‘Hide’ on Greenwich Peninsula.
On the streets of Greenwich Peninsula, A bird-watching hide has appeared overnight. An unidentified visitor is not-so-quietly observing us from inside.
In this reverse of the ornithologist – species dynamic, join performance artist Lou Doyle for an interactive experience like no other, where local birds inspire their human cohabitors to question the concept of ‘progress’ in relation to city living. Visiting the hide is a playful opportunity to reconsider how we spend and direct our attention, and to discover London’s most iconic entertainment destination; the O (twit) 2 arena.
